IAF Group Y Medical Assistant Airmen Recruitment 2026 : Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Air Force has set specific eligibility requirements for candidates applying for the Group Y Medical Assistant Trade (Intake 02/2026). The criteria are based on educational qualifications and are divided into two categories:

1. Eligibility for 10+2 (Intermediate) Candidates

Candidates applying based on their 10+2 qualification must meet the following conditions:

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
• Should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Must have secured at least 50% marks in English.

Alternatively:

• Candidates who have completed a two-year vocational course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (as non-vocational subjects) are also eligible.
• They must also have obtained 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English individually.

2. Eligibility for Diploma / B.Sc (Pharmacy) Candidates

Candidates holding a pharmacy qualification must fulfill the following:

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, securing:
  • Minimum 50% marks in total, and
  • At least 50% marks in English.
• Additionally, candidates must possess:
  • A Diploma in Pharmacy or a B.Sc degree in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • A valid registration certificate from the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.
