The Indian Coast Guard has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer) for the 2027 batch, inviting online applications from eligible male candidates across India. Educational Qualification
1. Common Requirement (For All Posts):
- Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics up to Class 12th or its equivalent level of education.
2. General Duty (GD) Branch:
- A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
4. Technical Branch (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics):
- A candidate must have completed a degree in Engineering in the relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, etc.) from a recognized university or institution.
Selection Process
- Stage I – CGCAT: Computer-based online exam.
- Stage II – PSB: Includes Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) & Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT).
- Stage III – FSB: Psychological Test & Personal Interview.
- Stage IV – Medical: Full medical examination as per ICG standards.
- Stage V – Induction: Final selection and training at the Coast Guard Academy.
