Bihar STET Notification 2025 : Age Limits (as On 01/08/2025)

• Minimum Age : 21 Years
• Maximum Age : 37 Years (Male) 
• Maximum Age : 40 Years (Female UR, BC/ EBC-Male & Female) 
• Maximum Age : 42 Years (SC/ ST-Male & Female)

Bihar STET Examination 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

Paper-I (Secondary Teacher: Classes 9-10)

• You should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject.
• You must have a minimum of 50% marks in your graduation.
• You must have passed the B.Ed. exam.

Paper-II (Senior Secondary Teacher: Classes 11-12)

• You must have a Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree in the relevant subject.
• You need to have secured at least a Second Division (around 45-50% marks).
• You must have a B.Ed. degree.
• Note: The B.Ed. requirement is not compulsory for candidates applying for the Computer Science subject.

Relaxation for Reserved Categories : Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, EBC, BC, and Divyang (PwD) categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the required marks.

Bihar STET Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2025

1. Total Questions & Marks

• 150 questions, 150 marks
• Each question = 1 mark
• No negative marking

2. Syllabus

• Paper I (Secondary): Based on Bachelor’s degree level
• Paper II (Senior Secondary): Based on Bachelor’s (Honours) level

3. Marks Distribution

• 100 marks: Subject content
• 50 marks: Teaching skills & general knowledge

4. Exam Mode & Duration

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes)

Required Documents for Bihar STET 2025

• Matric (10th) Certificate & Marksheet – For verifying Date of Birth.
• Intermediate (12th) Certificate & Marksheet – As proof of higher secondary qualification.
• Graduation (Bachelor’s) Certificate & Marksheet – Mandatory educational qualification.
• Post Graduation Certificate & Marksheet (if applicable) – For candidates applying with PG eligibility.
• B.Ed. Certificate & Marksheet (if applicable) – Required for teaching eligibility.
• Residence Certificate (Bihar Domicile) – Proof of being a permanent resident of Bihar.
• Caste Certificate (only for SC/ST/OBC/EBC candidates) – To claim reservation benefits.
• Updated Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (only for OBC/EBC candidates) – Must be valid and updated.
• Disability Certificate (if applicable) – For candidates claiming PwD quota.
• Ex-Serviceman Certificate (if applicable) – To avail age relaxation benefits.

2. Click on “New Registration” and enter your personal details.
3. Log in using the credentials sent to you.
4. Fill out the application form and upload documents (photo, signature).
5. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
6. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
